There is general agreement across the world that the expected consequences of climate change will be so significant that they require planning of adaptation measures now. 

Every country is referring to several different scenarios, because there is still great uncertainty about the scope and nature of future climate change and its impacts on the affected parts of society.

The consequences of climate change will differ from country to country and region to region. Denmark can benefit from other countries' experiences with climate change adaptation measures, although there is no single model which can be transferred directly to Danish conditions.
