IPCC: Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation 

Extreme weather becomes even more extreme in the future and we should be better managing it. It is the key message of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change summit (IPCC) in South Africa. The IPCC has recently published a special report of Working Group I and Working Group II on extreme weather.

 

Adaptation to Climate Change: Policy instruments for adaptation to climate change in big European cities and metropolitan areas
Ecologic Institute has published a report based on a study examining adaptation strategies in large cities and metropolitan areas across the European Union. The study, which was commissioned by the Committee of the Regions, aims to identify best practices at the levels of both strategies and individual adaptation measures. It is targeted at local and regional administrators and interested stakeholders.The report presents and analyses adaptation strategies and measures from 20 different cities and regions in Europe.

Final Report of ERA-NET ROAD Programme
"Road Owners Getting to Grips with Climate Change"
This report was produced by the European Commision ERA-NET ROAD coordination body. It summarises findings and recommendations from four projects conducted under the program "Road Owners Getting to Grips with Climate Change" and shows how road authorities and regulatory personnel can implement the recommendations effectively.
