Hinged manhole covers

During a cloudburst, some urban manhole covers will be unable to withstand the pressure and there is a risk they will be pushed away. The missing covers pose a danger to pedestrians and drivers, who may not be able to see the open drain if the street is flooded with water. To prevent such situations, manhole covers can be replaced by hinged covers which will not be pushed away by high pressure in the sewers.
