HydroSeparator

The HydroSeparator is a device developed by the Danish company HydroSystems. The device removes suspended substances and anthropogenic substances from rainwater, surface water and overflow water. The HydroSeparator is fully automatic and self-cleaning and therefore requires only limited maintenance.  The device is relatively small, can be installed below ground and is therefore easy to find space for compared with other solutions. Because the device provides for high-quality cleaning of surface water, it can be used to manage both normal rainfall and cloudburst locally. The HydroSeparator comes equipped with a PLC control system and can be hooked up to a remote monitoring system, etc., so that the device can be remotely controlled and optimised to ensure the best cleaning effect and the greatest capacity. The device requires connection to a power source and to the wastewater/sewage system. A permit from the Danish environmental authorities is required in line with the permit required in other situations involving output to receiving water bodies.
