Runoff model
A hydrodynamic runoff model identifies potential bottlenecks in
the sewer and stormwater drainage systems in the event of large
rainfall amounts. Calculations provide the initial overview of
where the systems are likely to overflow first and, thus, where
there is a risk of flooding. This information can be combined with
knowledge about surface flow paths and about depressions in the
terrain where water is likely to build up. If water rises near the
areas at risk been identified in the flood map analysis, additional
calculations will be needed.
